The Association for Computing Machinery (ACM) and the Austrian Academic Library Consortium (KEMÖ) have concluded a Read and Publish agreement for the period from January 2025 to December 2029, enabling corresponding authors affiliated with the institutions listed below to publish Open Access in Hybrid and Gold OA journals at no additional charge.

Who is eligible?
Authors affiliated with a participating member institution in the role of 'corresponding author' of the article. ACM identifies eligible authors by means of one of the following parameters as part of the submission workflow: persistent identifier, affiliation, and institutional email address.
Which article types are eligible?
Research Articles, Review Articles, Short Papers, Survey Articles, Technical Notes, Tutorials, Interviews, Case Studies, Notes, and other article types for which ACM would otherwise charge Article Processing Charges (APCs) and that have been accepted for publication during the agreement.
What license options are available?
CC BY (default).
When do authors have to be affiliated with a participating member institution to be eligible for funding?
Authors must be affiliated with a participating member institution either on the publication or acceptance date.
What costs are covered by the agreement?
Article Processing Charges (APCs) are fully covered by the agreement; no additional charges for authors incurred.
